How many white males were molested, starved or beaten? Since when is it ok to judge a whole swath of people - all having different life experiences - based on their skin color? As a white male I can tell you, I suffered abuse - more abuse than you can imagine - as a child basically because I am short gay - some of this abuse came from people of color and women Tell me how privileged I am. Do I get a "safe space" free of those people. As far as I am concerned this is whiney self-entitlement, using the whole "safe space" argument is just a way to get power. If you cared about anyone, you'd spend some time to get to know them regardless of color or gender, have empathy for any one of them, and grasp that the purpose of the university is not exclusively to provide therapy, encourage your own new version of prejudice, and shield you from your obligation to tell someone you don't agree with them and why. Safe space is the space you have with your friend or your shrink, not your boss or professor. This is college. Grow up. DHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00585651854517487563noreply@blogger.com
